✔️ Quit a toxic job at the end of September.

✔️Packed up and shipped 90% of my belongings and my motorcycle to North Carolina.

✔️Spent 17 days road tripping across the U.S. with no itinerary and no plan, except to visit as many National Parks as I could. I made it to nine!

✔️Made it to western North Carolina.

What an amazing journey and adventure.

I’ve Seen Black Canyon of the Gunnison Up Close by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: Now I’ve seen it from up high :-) This was on an airplane flight from Salt Lake City to Austin after spending about a week in southern Utah and Nevada exploring national park there. I had a chance to visit Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park not long after the start of the Covid pandemic and was amazed at the wonder and geology of that area with its formations. I found this view a touching way to end a trip on my flight back to Austin. I wasn't able to get any GPS locations, but the view is looking generally to the southwest while over the western center portion of Colorado.

9-12-2023 No Art & Tea this week because I’m visiting my sister’s family in Colorado, I know, I know. I said I was going to try and do a drawing every day, but I’ve had way less downtime than I anticipated. 😅 BUT I did manage to get a quick sketch done while we visited Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park today!

It’s just a quick sketch, while I sat in the car with the baby (she was sleeping) and everyone else went down the trail. I don’t do many landscapes! 😅 Anyway this took about 10 minutes, and is of the bushes on the left side of the Painted Wall trailhead
